Hello everyone! I'm Wang Benbin, the foreman of the Second Shift at the Machining Center of the Machinery Factory. I'm an industrial worker who has been fighting on the frontline of mechanical processing for more than 20 years, and also a Communist Party member with 11 years of Party membership. I am mainly responsible for the processing of the main key parts of various series of carding machines - circular wallboards. Over the years, I have always kept in mind the belief that "a Party member is a banner", and fulfilled the Party membership oath amid the roar of lathes, living up to my youth and prime.

Being a "Vanguard": Taking the Lead to Overcome Difficulties

Last summer, the company suddenly received a batch of carding machine orders, with a delivery period only two-thirds of the usual time. It was a period of high temperature and high humidity. I immediately gathered the team members for a meeting and said, "This is a tough task, but it's also an opportunity to show our combat effectiveness." Our team formulated a "two-shift relay" plan, and I took the initiative to take charge of the most tiring middle shift. After half a month of continuous hard work, we finally completed the delivery three days in advance. The more urgent, difficult and important the task is, the more we need to respond scientifically. We decomposed the major goals into small tasks and used MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to track the progress of each part, making the emergency battle organized.

Being a "Technology Enthusiast": Pursuing Excellence

Many people think that innovation is profound, but in fact, it lies in the pain points of daily work. For example, when processing the wallboard of the JWF1217 carding machine, I found that the traditional process had the problems of fast tool wear and frequent replacement, which seriously affected the production rhythm. I led the team to explore and innovate, introducing the new technology of heavy-duty cutting tools, which enables high-speed processing. Due to its stronger wear resistance, the frequency of tool replacement is greatly reduced, the processing efficiency is increased by 40%, and the production pressure is effectively alleviated.

Being a "Leader": Adhering to the Original Aspiration

"One person's effort is addition, while a team's effort is multiplication." This is what my team members and I often say. As the foreman, I take the lead in overcoming difficulties and promoting cooperation. I teach young workers to read drawings and write programs hand by hand. Seeing them grow from "novices" to "skilled workers" makes me happier than creating fine products by myself. With the continuous increase in carding machine orders, the processing efficiency and quality of circular wallboards are crucial. To ensure the on-time delivery of products, at the beginning of this year, the Party branch divided our team into the Party Member Responsibility Zone for Circular Wallboards, focusing on solving the problem of "improving the precision level of circular wallboards". To ensure the stability and reliability of the processing quality of circular wallboards, I led the team to carry out work such as improving the "auxiliary support" tooling, optimizing cutting tools, changing the tool path direction, and adjusting the feed rate. After nearly three months of hard work, we finally improved the verticality of the base angle by about 50%, laying a foundation for the mass promotion and application of carding machines and the trial production of new products.

Being a "Practitioner": Revitalizing Textile Machinery

To accelerate the process of intelligent manufacturing and promote digital transformation, the company has continuously increased investment in technological transformation in recent years and successively introduced new CNC (Computer Numerical Control) processing equipment. At the beginning of 2024, the Nidec Gantry Machining Center was officially put into use, injecting new innovative vitality into our team. I led the team members to actively learn the operation of the new equipment, always adhering to the concept of "learning while working and working while learning", and quickly mastered the practical skills. After nearly one and a half years of practical application, the processing technology of circular wallboards has achieved significant optimization and perfect transformation: through the application of CNC turntables, the merging of processes is realized, the operations of horizontal machining centers and drilling machines are reduced, the frequency of part transfer and clamping is lowered, and the repeated clamping errors are effectively reduced. This not only increases the production efficiency by 38%, but also improves the quality of key center distance dimensions by 45%, allowing us to truly experience the tangible results brought by technology and innovation.
