This June marks the 25th National “Work Safety Month”, themed “Everyone Emphasizes Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency Response — Identify, Rectify and Eliminate Risks and Hidden Dangers”.

On June 1, Qingdao Hongda Company held the kick-off meeting for the 2026 “Work Safety Month”. The meeting thoroughly studied the important instructions and directives on work safety by General Secretary Xi Jinping, implemented the requirements of the work safety conference of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), and deployed the company’s 2026 “Work Safety Month” activities. Present at the meeting were Zhang Wenxin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director and General Manager; Lü Ruizhang, Senior Director; Yan Yongliang, Chief Financial Officer; Ni Jingda, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Chief Engineer; Lu Xianghui and Peng Wei, Deputy General Managers; Zhao Wenqing, Chairman of the Trade Union. Wang Xingzhi, Safety Director, presided over the meeting. More than 40 participants, including heads of all departments and safety officers, attended the meeting.

The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the 2026 work safety conference of CNTAC, collectively watched the 2026 “Work Safety Month” theme promotional video and accident warning education film, and mobilized and arranged the company's 2026 “Work Safety Month” activities, summer “four preventions” (prevention of high temperature, flood, lightning and fire) work, the “in-depth study, extensive training and comprehensive examination” campaign on work safety, as well as the rectification of problems identified in the re-evaluation for the Level II Work Safety Standardization Enterprise certification. At the meeting, Zhang Wenxin delivered a special lecture titled “First Person Responsible Speaks on Safety”, led the study and publicity of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on work safety and the “Ten Hard Measures for Work Safety in Central Enterprises”, and emphasized arrangements for work safety.

During the “Work Safety Month”, the company will carry out diverse and extensive activities in four aspects: special study and publicity, themed safety training, hidden danger investigation and rectification, and inspection, supervision and implementation. These efforts aim to enhance all employees' safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, and foster a sound environment for safe development.

In his speech, Lü Ruizhang stressed that all activities of the Work Safety Month and the rectification of problems identified in the re-evaluation for the Level II Work Safety Standardization Enterprise certification must be detailed and implemented, avoiding mere formality. Safety education and training should be strengthened to ensure that employees are well-versed in safety responsibilities, operating procedures, equipment risks and emergency measures. Safety knowledge examinations should be organized by department, so that safety is truly rooted in everyone's mind and prioritized. The safety management and hidden danger identification capabilities of managers at all levels and safety officers should be improved, and professional safety knowledge and standards should be mastered. Efforts to rectify on-site problems and hidden dangers should be intensified, as well as assessment, to resolutely address issues such as incomplete rectification and persistent chronic problems.

Zhang Wenxin emphasized in his speech: First, draw profound lessons from recent typical domestic accidents, reflect deeply, stay alert, recognize the safety situation, and maintain a strict stance on safety at all times, with no room for fluke or slackness. Second, ensure high-standard rectification of problems notified in the re-evaluation for work safety standardization. Address the problem list, identify similar issues through analogy, and complete rectification and closure item by item. Third, organize closed-book examinations on basic safety knowledge at all levels and departments, ensuring all staff are familiar with safety duties and operating procedures, and managers at all levels are competent in safety performance. Fourth, strengthen safety supervision, assessment and accountability, eliminating leniency and “being a good guy”. Promote the implementation of safety measures with strict rules and a strict atmosphere. Fifth, carry out distinctive and targeted Work Safety Month activities based on the company's actual conditions, fostering a culture of “everyone emphasizes safety, everyone knows emergency response”.

The company will steadily implement all Work Safety Month activities as planned, complete high-standard rectification of problems identified in the work safety standardization re-evaluation, further enhance all employees'safety awareness and capabilities, promote the improvement of the company's safety management level, and provide a solid safety guarantee for the company's high-quality development.
