At 9 a.m. on September 11, applause thundered in the first-floor hall of Qingdao Hongda Blowing-carding machinery Factory, and the second "We Are Carding Machines" apprenticeship ceremony kicked off under the witness of more than 100 cadres and employees. Lu Xianghui, Deputy General Manager of the company, Zhao Wenqing, Chairman of the Labor Union, Shao Peixi, Minister of the Technology Center, Sun Zhongbao, Minister of the Quality Department, and Liu Ming, Senior Manager of the Technology Center, attended the scene and jointly completed a solemn relay about skills, spirit, and the future with 12 pairs of mentors and apprentices.​

At the beginning of the ceremony, Factory Director Liu Xingyuan announced the assessment results of the first apprenticeship: four pairs, namely Li Zhigang, Zhang Deqing, Xu Yuncui, and Zhu Wanchun, were rated as "Excellent", and rewards were presented to the masters on the spot. "A bonus is more of an affirmation, which makes the three words 'passing on, helping, and leading' have a visible weight!"​

Amidst soothing music, the masters took the stage and took their seats first. Then, 12 apprentices slowly walked up, holding apprenticeship letters and tea, bowed, and presented the tea with both hands - "Please drink tea, Master!" A simple sentence instantly warmed up the scene. The masters solemnly accepted the apprenticeship letters and then gave the reply letters carrying expectations and responsibilities to the apprentices. Master Zhang Deqing, on behalf of all masters, promised: "As long as you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach until you can be independent and even surpass us!" Shi Quanxiao, the representative of the apprentices, responded firmly: "Today we drink the tea of respecting teachers, and tomorrow we will sweat hard in our struggle. We will live up to your trust!"​

In the fourth item of the ceremony, Lu Xianghui, Deputy General Manager of the company, delivered an important speech. He pointed out that talents are the most precious resource of an enterprise, and the "mentor-apprentice" activity is precisely a key link for us to meet market challenges and accumulate development strength. General Lu put forward three hopes to the mentors: first, to teach everything without reservation and be tireless in teaching, turning "unique skills" into "shared knowledge"; second, to teach by precept and example, cultivate people with virtue, and let the craftsman spirit of striving for perfection take root in the hearts of apprentices; third, to be strict with requirements and make progress together, achieving mutual success in "teaching" and "learning". At the same time, he sent a message to young employees: respect teachers and value morality, be modest in seeking advice, study hard and practice diligently, be good at thinking, be down-to-earth, and persevere for a long time, and complete the transformation from "new force" to "main force" as soon as possible.​
