Tug-of-War for New Year: Unity Forged, Spirit Ignited
Beneath the warm winter sun, the air was filled with enthusiastic cheers and chants. From December 30 to 31, Qingdao Hongda's 11th Tug-of-War Competition kicked off in full swing on the factory premises. Thirteen teams representing grassroots trade unions gathered together, bringing full enthusiasm and high morale to add a strong festive atmosphere to the arrival of 2026 New Year's Day.
As a traditional sports event of the company, the tug-of-war competition fully demonstrates the spiritual outlook of the working class in the new era, and vividly reflects everyone's joint efforts and united struggle. Each participating team consists of 8 male members and 2 female members, with department leaders and trade union chairpersons personally leading the teams during the competition. The competition adopts a knockout system with best of three games , and the scene is intense yet filled with laughter and joy.
On the field, team members gripped the long rope tightly, their eyes sharp and determined, working together as one. Beside the field, cheerleading squads shouted encouragement, with applause and cheers echoing continuously — the chill of winter was completely dispelled by the soaring enthusiasm. After two days of fierce competition, the team from the Winding Equipment Factory claimed the championship with an outstanding performance, followed by the Machinery Factory team as the runner-up and the Carding Equipment Factory team as the third-place winner. Company leaders presented trophies and awards to the winning teams.

A single hemp rope binds unity and friendship; a unison chant shouts out struggle and passion. The tug-of-war competition is not only a sports contest but also a vivid manifestation of team cohesion. The successful holding of this year's competition has fully displayed the spiritual outlook of Qingdao Hongda people — united collaboration and striving for excellence , injecting vigorous vitality into the new year. Let us carry the fighting spirit and team awareness shown in the competition into our work, advance hand in hand in the new year , and make new contributions to the high-quality development of the company!
